kingfisher

At Marazion whilst photographing the pectoral sandpiper, this kingfisher showed distant but well. it was nice to see the kingfisher as the last winter was exceptionally cold and kingfisher numbers can suffer in cold winters as frozen waters prevent them from feeding.

    Hi Sam, hard to get close to the KF, I also tried today saw one at Hayle also as well as Marazion so some got through the harsh cold months we had.

    Nice shots of the Kingfisher saw a couple at Marazion about this time last year but not close enough for pictures. Also class images of the Sandpiper in your previous post.

    I've never gotten close to a Kingfisher. This one is just gorgeous, and your shots of him are wonderful!
