An Evening at Marazion

With cracking male Wheatears, and a few waders on the beach  amounted to an enjoyable couple of hours. However normally when a Bar Tailed Godwit is around this time of yea,r they are in their glorious breeding plumage, as usual for me this one was rough as rats and with a limp.

Little Bunting

Another first today, Lisa and I went to Gulval to see the overwintering (presume) Little Bunting. A superb little bird a long way from home. This link will show the Little Buntings range, http://www.birdlife.org/datazone/speciesfactsheet.php?id=8950

Storm Birds

Pendeen watch in a driving WNW wind was a challenge, I spent most of the two hours hugging my camera protecting it from sea spray.

First Day Out with the camera in 2015

A new years resolution is to get out more often with the camera. I went to Drift Dam to photograph the Mandarin duck and dipped. St Gothian was the next place for the Snow Bunting, but it seemed that every  every dog walker in west Cornwall was there.

An apple a day means the Black Cap stay's, in the garden.
