Another first in July, I was driving back from grandad duties this evening when the mobile rang and who should be calling was John and Eva, a Black Kite was at Chapel Carn brea, this was Ideal as I was already on the road heading for Chapel Carn Brea, Arriving within five minutes I jumped out of the car and John immediately got me onto the bird. We had wonderful overhead views then two Ravens harried the Kite and away it went. I drove home, got the camera and returned to the location and was awarded further views of the Black Kite. The images are record shots but who cares, a first for me in Cornwall. I greatly appreciated the call as I missed the one over Drift Reservoir that hung around for three hours.

Spotted Owlets
As I sorted through my photos taken in India last month I thought I'd do a

ReplyDeleteVery well done! I have several record shots, but yours are much better. I captured a Cattle Egret the other day, and a Snowy Egret at Bowdoin, but they were so far away it was ridiculous...they're only good for record keeping.
