Black Winged Stilt

Attention was drawn today to St Gothian Sands, Gwithian when four stunning Black Winged Stilts were found by Paul Freestone et al http://www.cornwall-birding.co.uk/ , what a find. Buffeted by the wind and harsh light everyone snapped away hoping for that perfect shot.

  4. Spot on Sam, only heard about it this evening but we have reserved a patch for them at Walmsley although the continued presence of the Arctic Peregrine is keeping away most of the waders!
