I have been looking for the Beautiful Demoiselle Damselfly around our local river in Tregeseal for two years, what used to be a common species seemed to have disappeared. Last year, the weather was so poor, with flooding scouring the river bed ,and low temperatures I had my doubts whether I would see them again locally. However yesterday I noticed a male guarding territory, so I entered the river to photograph it, a female arrived on the scene and they immediately went into their mating ritual .
