Snowy Owl

My third Snowy Owl on the patch in the last 10 years. This female Snowy was so close initially, however as she was roadside the passing odd car unsettled it and pushed around 20 metres away.

White Rumped Sandpiper

I caught up with this Juvenile White Rumped Sandpiper today at St Gothian Sands, Gwithian. Blown off course by one of the hurricanes or Atlantic storms we have experienced of late. Poor thing should be in South America.

Sennen Cove

Cattle Egret

Plenty of species building up at Hayle,  3 Ruff  still hanging around with the Godwits on Ryan's field and this Cattle Egret on the estuary.

While photographing the Grey Phalarope at Helston I couldn't resist a few shots of these passing Shoveler Ducks.

North Cliffs

On Saturday I took a trip to North Cliffs at Godrevy and Hells Mouth, the Fulmar's are in their breeding season occupying the ledges at Hells Mouth. To watch the aerobatic skills of the Fulmar so close was awe inspiring.
