Trawling through my recent Swift images I found these two images which I thought was worthy of a post,

I went to Marazion tonight with the hope of seeing and capturing an image of the Purple Heron in residence in the last few days. No luck with the Heron, but I was captivated by the Swifts  feeding voraciously on the Marsh.

Here are a couple of flight shots of Cornish Chough at Botallack taken yesterday.The shots were taken in the evening when the sun was low and close to the horizon.

Hedgehog

We have successfully overwintered two hedgehogs, when we picked them up at the beginning ofwinter they weighed in at around 250 grams, they now weigh a kilo each. Release time is here, and the image is my charge for 7 months full board. We will release them into our garden and hopefully they will stay but that wll be up to them.

Red Fox

Whilst walking down through Kenidjack valley tonight we came across this Fox (Vixen) hunting in a field, we saw some interesting behaviour when a ginger tom cat entered the field. He stared the fox down, who seemed to submit by rolling on her back and exposing her belly. The Vixen was also sniffing out, and digging up food she had previously secreted away.

Lesser Yellow legs At Marazion

Whilst out with the wife and Grandson I recieved a text that a adult Lesser Yellow Legs was at Marazion so I did a quick visit on the way home and grabbed a couple of snaps.
