Heron Love Is In The Air

Sunday was a Heron day at Marazion, I arrived at 8am with the hope of photographing one of the Bittern residing at Marazion.Although I dipped on the Bittern I had a good session with a few other camera/wildlife enthusiasts, but by 1pm I was frozen to the ground, so  five hours was enough.

Camera Test

I collected my camera from South West Optics today after sending it to Nikon for a check over. I seem to suffer from dropsy with camera's. as I dropped my new D800e onto concrete. The lens took the impact and is under going repairs, but the camera was not damaged, a bonus and it didn't cost an arm and a leg for the check, good old SWOPTICS.

I dropped into Carrnsew Basin again to check out what birds are around and test the camera. The only bird of note was an adult Mediterranean Gull.

Oyster Catcher
 Little Egret
 High Numbers of Dunlin
 Med Gull

Common Tern

I went to Hayle today to photograph the over wintering Common Tern, a Common Tern in breeding plumage is a very unusual site this time of year as they normally winter in Africa.
