Med Gull Repeat

I returned to Sennen Cove today and had more views of Mediterranean Gulls. This confiding individual performed well.

Mediteranean Gull

As Sennen Cove seems to be the centre of the universe at the moment for Med Gulls I went down a few evenings ago to photograph one.

Grey Wagtails

Out with the big lens today and came across Grey Wagtails feeding their young. The distance from the subject was sufficient so as not to disturb them. I had trouble with gauging the exposure as the chicks where back in a pipe and in a darker space than the surrounding area.

I will be glad when the kids leave home

Slug Killer

This is without doubt the best slug killer for the garden. This morning when I went out to the garden I found Mr's Tiggywinkle in the garden snuffling around for slugs and worms.

Fox Cubs

Tonight we went for a walk down through Kenidjack and found four fox cubs playing in a field, so we returned home for the camera and managed to capture a few images, We were pleased to see this family as over the past twelve months we have discovered a couple of carcasses that were probably shot. One was a stunning dog fox with four black socks and was really healthy, an individual that Lisa and I have been watching for a couple of years.

Great Grested Grebe Chick At Drift

I saw the courtship, and now the offspring, this GC Chick is as far as I am aware the first breeding of this species at Drift and Penwth.

Large Moths

Here are a few macro shots of moths, although given the size of these individuals any close focus lens would of captured these perfectly.

Razorbill and Chick

Here are a couple of images of a Razorbill family at North Cliffs. How they manage to bring up young at such a precarious place is amazing.
